Kavitha Rajagopalan directs the Asian Media Initiative at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, which was recognized for a 2024 AAJA Community Impact Award. Rajagopalan is an author and writer, specializing in Asia-Pacific diaspora communities. She received a Fulbright Scholarship and John. J. McCloy Fellowship in Journalism. She holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a B.A. from The College of William & Mary.
