For the first time this year, 815 Native Hawaiians and their families have been awarded land on Oahu. A ceremony was held late last week to award residential leases in Ewa, Waimanalo, and Nanakuli. Some of the Native Hawaiian families say they have been waiting for over half a century for land that was historically theirs.
