Relatives and activists are demanding accountability after arrests in the death of Daniel Erving, a Black teen who was found dead in April after going to a Texas lake with his White friends.

Erving’s case is being compared to the death of Nolan Wells, another Black teen who was also found dead after hanging out with his White friends on a July 4th boating trip.

Dallas police say two suspects, 19-year-old Lucas Roper and an unnamed minor, were arrested last week and charged with tampering with evidence related to Erving’s death.
