The Emancipator Presents: Historically Black Phrases Live!

This Juneteenth, join special guest contestants Boston poet laureate Porsha Olayiwola, Harvard Gullah professor Sunn M’Cheaux and influencer Claudiane Philippe. The event takes place on Wed., June 19, 2024 at 7pm at WBUR CitySpace in Boston.

JUNETEENTH

Given that our publication is rooted in abolition, Juneteenth is a marquee event for The Emancipator. Last year, we traveled to Austin, TX, where we co-hosted several events to capture all the insights, joy and barbecue we could pack into a long weekend.
