Sewell Chan is editor in chief of The Texas Tribune and a former editor at the Los Angeles Times and The New York Times. Chan is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Pacific Council on International Policy, and PEN America, which defends free expression. He serves on the boards of the News Leaders Association, Freedom House, and the First Amendment Coalition.
